Pricing Policy - We realize the price you pay for supplies is one of the most important criteria used in selecting a vendor. Smith pledges to always offer fair, competitive prices. A list of your standard items showing agreed upon unit prices will be provided. For all items purchased that are not on your standard list, a discount from the current list price will be reflected on every invoice. We take our competitive pledge a few steps further by doing business in such a way that will help reduce your indirect costs that escalate the actual cost of goods purchased. By streamlining your staff’s efforts in purchasing, distribution, and payables, Smith will reduce these indirect costs. We will also assist in eliminating larger than necessary levels of inventory that can ties up precious dollars and additional stockroom space, thus adding to actual costs.

Quality Assurance Policy – Smith pledges to carry only the finest quality merchandise the market has to offer. Many brand name items are available in different quality grades, therefore the price of an item can usually be a good indicator of it’s quality. Many suppliers advertise or carry only the lower priced lines, therefore appearing to be a lower priced alternative. The term BUYER BEWARE definitely applies here. Smith offers our customers a choice. We typically carry a range of items covering the entire price spectrum so you, the customer, can select which price point to purchase. With those items you wish to economize on, Smith also carries many generic items. However, we pledge never to substitute generic items or lower price point items without your prior approval. Can our competitors make the same pledge?

Delivery – Free, next day delivery is our policy – not a special request. We have never, nor will we ever charge for delivery for Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Our multi-million dollar in-stock inventory includes all of your regularly ordered items virtually eliminating the chance of a back order. Special orders or items we do not stock will be electronically requested from our network of in-state suppliers. Most of our suppliers guarantee same night delivery to our warehouse (excluding some furniture items) so your special orders are available to be shipped with the rest of your order the next day. Rush or emergency deliveries will be guaranteed since we understand some situations cannot be anticipated. Any shipping errors are corrected the following day. You do not have to wait until the next order. As per your instructions, we can deliver your orders to a centralized location within your organization or directly to each requisitioned’s location. With our computerized distribution system, large multi location, multi-requisitioning customers are handled with the ease of a single location account. All orders are packaged and labeled with a packing slip number, your organizations name, address, department/cost center, the name of the requisitioned, your P.O.#, and any other required routing information. It is not necessary for your receiving personnel to sort through orders to distribute internally since each order is individually packaged by requisition.
